Another great Dear Dragon book - bilingual format allows it to be read by English and Spanish readers. This story takes us to a farmers' market and all the good foods there. Students love Dear Dragon - great for our K-2 students. 5/5

Margaret Hillert's Dear Dragon series is now in Spanish. Using repetitive language and familiar storylings, beginning readers will enjoy learning to read with these books. Phonics and vocabulary practice are in the back of the book.

Margaret Hillert has helped children gain reading confidence for years. This series has bilingual text with the entire Spanish text followed by the entire English text on each page. The colors are bright and will appeal to young students. Our FTI students are excited to have them for using with their students. Also reviewed: 1,2,3, y los colores de querido Dragon, Es primavera, querido Dragon, and Querido Dragon va al Mercado.

Sixty-one pre-primer vocabulary words are used in this simple text introducing the fruits, vegetables and flowers found at a farmer's market. Two pages in the back of the book suggest activities to reinforce phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, choral reading and comprehension discussions. This is another good addition to the series to be enjoyed by beginning readers and used by teachers.
