Hillert uses extremely short and simple plots to get beginning readers reading. Children will enjoy the illustrations of Dragon dressed in different sports regalia for his soccer, hockey, and football games. Although the stories aren't great works of literary merit, they are a good place to start for beginning readers. Recommended.
