It's another adventure with a little boy and his dragon. The controlled vocabulary and supporting illustrations provide an environment that developing readers appreciate. Many young readers enjoy returning to visit these characters again and again. In this book, the boy and his dragon visit the bank and learn about saving money.

For a book with only 75 words, the story of a boy and his toy dragon who break their piggy bank comes across clearly. Dad takes them to a bank and then to get a new piggy bank, but the boy finds a dragon bank instead. Short sentences and limited vocabulary makes this a good choice for very beginning readers. There are a few suggestions at the back to help with the teaching of reading.
